Quick Update: We continue to reflect on an amazing trip and a job well done. Photo Links and Post-Trip Reflections are growing.
This will be a forum for relief workers, family, and friends to observe, contribute, and reflect on the trip. Thank you to the College of Education @JMU, specifically Dr. Rich Ingram and Dr. Rich Clemens, for their support in enabling this (fingers-crossed) "live" journal of the trip.
Forum Navigation is Easy:
Under Key Pages (top-right-side), click on appropriate page.
Relief Workers:
Post comments and reflections under any page found in this forum. There is a page corresponding to each stage of the trip. Links are under Key Pages, top-right-side of screen. Go to any page, scroll to bottom, enter your name or just "worker" in the brackets, type away, and hit post. Hopefully, we will be able to add our experiences and reflections throughout the week. Please do not "Add Image(s)" because of space and formatting considerations. You may email photos to JMUKatrinaRelief@gmail.com and they will be posted.
Friends and Family:
Want to say "hello," "love ya," or "good luck" to an individual member or group? You can post messages or questions under any page, but there is one for General Comments and Hello's. Links are under Key Pages, top-right-side of screen. Go to any page, scroll to bottom, enter your name or just "friend" in the brackets, type away, and hit post.
Additionally:
For the purposes of this forum, it is most likely unnecessary for you to use any of the "Edit this Page" features. But if you feel comfortable and would like to edit some formatting or arranging, go for it! Add a new page, start a new topic, correct mistakes. That is the beauty of Wiki: "open editing." But try not to delete anything, as the goal of this Wiki is to have a "live" and open communication.
Again, please do not "Add Image(s)" because of space and formatting considerations. You may email photos to JMUKatrinaRelief@gmail.com and they will be posted.
This will be a very weBLOG-like forum and will grow as much as we allow it. We encourage anybody and everybody to contribute (this includes any member of the trip; faculty, staff, & community of JMU; and any family or friend). Don't be bashful...post away!
