Module 4	Application: How do I apply the mathvids strategies to my classroom setting?

	Topic 3	Given my students learning characteristics, how can I differentiate my plan?


Task 1		Go to the MathVIDS Teaching Plans site to see examples of how the MathVIDS instructional strategies can be integrated to teach particular mathematics concepts/skills.
Task 2		See an example of how to plan for addressing learning barriers for struggling learners. (Click here to download the file) As you review this example, think about how you could do the same for your chosen mathematics concept/SOL/key objective.

Task 3		Use the instructional strategies in Module 3 to modify the Learning Barriers Planning Guide for meeting the needs of your students for your chosen mathematics concept/SOL/key objective, click here to see an example.

Task 4		Revisit your responses to Module 1. Ask yourself the following questions. Then click Activity 4.3.4 Discussion to share your thoughts with your community. What would you do differently? Why? How has your concept of teaching mathematics changed? If you had to describe your learning from these modules to someone using one adjective, what would you choose and why?
