FOR ATTENDEES NOT TAKING THE ACADEMY FOR GRADUATE CREDIT:
The purpose of this Wiki is to help you complete the follow-up activities required in order for you to receive recertification points. As you know, in order to be awarded these points, you need to create two lessons utilizing content and activities learned during the academy, post these lessons electronically so that they can be reviewed by others, and review three lessons created by other participants in your academy review group. These follow-up requirements are necessary to meet the “High-Quality Professional Development Criteria” of the Virginia Department of Education. Specfic directions on your follow-up assignment are posted at your Academy wiki.

FOR ATTENDEES WHO ARE TAKING THE ACADEMY FOR GRADUATE CREDIT:
Most Attendees who are taking the Academy for graduate credit credit will use Blackboard to support follow-up activities. However, attendees at some Academies will use this Wiki for for-credit follow-up. If you are taking the Academy for graduate credit, check with your Academy chair to see which tool to use.

Access to the Wikis is restricted to the members of the respective Academies. This access is controlled by the Chairs for the respective Academies. The Chair for your Academy will provide you with this access information at the beginning of your Academy week at JMU.

If you have never used a Wiki, don't worry. There is a Wiki Help button inside each Academy that describes step-by-step how to use the Wiki. Also, Academy staff will be available for Wiki questions throughout the Academy week.
